    Effective July 1, 2021, or as permitted by existing contracts, BASF will increase prices for 1,4-butanediol (BDO) and its derivatives in North America
    .

    BDO and its derivatives are used in the production of engineering plastics, polyurethanes, pharmaceuticals, solvents and elastic spandex fibers
    .
