BASF said in a statement that it will continue to monitor the trend of natural gas prices and adjust its synthetic ammonia production accordingly

Due to the soaring natural gas prices leading to negative growth in the profitability of the fertilizer industry, many fertilizer plants in Europe have closed and reduced production

At present, fertilizer giants such as CF Industry, Yara, Borealis, and OCI of the Netherlands have announced production cuts, and some nitrogen fertilizer producers are also reducing synthetic ammonia production
