BASF is currently expanding its portfolio of high-temperature nylon (polyphthalamide, or PPA) with various flame-retardant grades that combine high thermal stability, excellent electrical insulation and low water absorpti.

These four new PPA grades are Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed, showing outstanding electrical RTI values ​​and offering a variety of performance levels depending on part requiremen.

Now Available Worldwide: Ultramid® One J Has Superior Electrical RTI Values

The product range includes the easy-to-process Ultramid® One J 60X1 V30, PA66/6T developed earlier through the acquisition of Solvay's polyamide business, a material solution that BASF now offers to customers worldwi.

All flame retardant materials in the PPA portfolio maintain their high mechanical properties and dielectric strength at elevated temperatur.
