On December 26, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced that the Bohai 100 million-ton oilfield project Kenli 6-1 Oilfield Block 5-1, 5-2 and 6-1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Kenli 6-1 Oilfield Main Area Development Project") was successfully put into operation
    .

Kenli 6-1 Oilfield is located in the southern waters of the Bohai Sea, with proven geological reserves of more than 100 million tons, which is the first 100-million-ton lithological large-scale oilfield discovered by the low-convex shallow exploration and discovery of the Bohai Laibei in China, and the largest crude oil production increase project
under construction in 2022 in Bohai Oilfield, the largest crude oil production base in China.

Kenli 6-1 oilfield main area development project, with 1 central platform and 6 unmanned wellhead platforms, plans to put into operation 107 development wells, and will achieve a peak output of about 5,500 tons of crude oil per day in 2024
    .
The development of this oilfield has actively implemented the "dual carbon" strategy from the beginning of design, and was designed, built and put into production at the same time as the shore power application project of Bozhong-Kenli Oilfield, which is the first oilfield
in China's offshore oil industry to introduce shore power at the beginning of design.

Shore power application engineering is a major change in offshore oil production, reducing CO2 emissions
from oil and gas production by replacing self-generated electricity from the land grid.
In the past year since China's first shore power demonstration project was put into use, it has supplied a total of 1.
2 billion kilowatt-hours of power to 29 offshore production platforms such as Qinhuangdao 32-6, saving about 250,000 tons
    of crude oil consumption.
According to reports, the shore power application project of Bozhong-Kenli oilfield group is the second phase of shore power project, a total of 4 offshore power platforms and 1 land high-voltage substation are built, with a design transmission capacity of 520 MW, which is currently the largest offshore oilfield group shore power application project
    in China.
The shore power project covers the main oil and gas hubs in the southern and central Bohai Seas, will supply power to 39 offshore platforms, and is expected to support about 55,000 tons per day of oil and gas production
    in the region by 2025.
The peak annual electricity consumption will save 650,000 tons of standard coal, reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 14,700 tons, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tons, with remarkable
energy conservation and emission reduction effects.

The relevant person in charge of CNOOC said that the successful commissioning of the shore power application project of Bozhong-Kenli Oilfield will greatly improve the reliability and stability of CNOOC's power production and consumption in the Bohai region, which is a major measure for CNOOC to implement the green and low-carbon strategy, marking a new stage in
CNOOC's clean energy use 。 In addition, the six unmanned platforms of the Kenli 6-1 oilfield main area development project adopt intelligent design, through the integrated automatic monitoring and early warning system to enable all equipment of the unmanned platform to achieve remote monitoring, and can also synchronously carry out intelligent analysis and dynamic evaluation of the collected production data, and timely early warning intervention for abnormal operating parameters to ensure the safe and reliable operation of
    the unmanned platform.

Wang Benwu, General Manager of CNOOC Tianjin Branch Bonan Operation Company, said: "All 107 wells in the project are remotely controlled on unmanned platforms, the largest
    number in CNOOC.
In order to manage oil wells well and ensure safe production, we focus on remote control of offshore unmanned intelligent platforms, and realize large-scale multi-platform intelligent linkage integrated application for the first time, marking a new level of systematic engineering design, construction and development capabilities of offshore oil and gas utilization, and making important practices
for promoting the high-quality development of China's offshore oil industry and ensuring national energy security.
