One billion problematic and unnecessary single-use plastics will be eliminated by the end of 2020, according to the UK Plastics Pact's annual report
.
The UK Plastics Pact is a collaborative initiative led by the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to bring businesses across the value chain together with the UK Governments and NGOs join forces to create a circular economy for plastics

The report provides a multi-faceted overview of the UK's progress towards the goals of a circular economy system for plastics

The report shows that members of the UK Plastics Pact are more than halfway towards the target of recyclable packaging for all packaging, and the UK is also more than halfway towards the target of recycling 70% of plastic packaging
