Chevron invests in waste hydrogen and renewable fuel projects in Northern California

According to news from Axioms Energy on August 20, Chevron and other partners said that they are investing in a start-up company to build modular waste into green hydrogen and renewable synthesis in northern California.
Fuel facilities, the preliminary plan is to eventually develop on a global scale

Raven SR, headquartered in Wyoming, USA, has invested 20 million US dollars to focus on the development of non-combustible green transportation hydrogen technology, which is cleaner than the blue hydrogen extracted from natural gas

Unlike other methods of waste disposal (such as incineration or gasification), Raven represents a steam and carbon dioxide reforming process that does not require any combustion, which is said to reduce emissions and produce more green hydrogen than other competing processes

Their goals also include using this technology to produce more synthetic liquid fuels, including diesel and aviation fuel, as well as other additives and solvents, such as naphtha, and even generating electricity through micro-turbines

Raven said that further decarbonization of aviation fuel production is a key goal to help combat climate change

Other project partners include New York-based Hyzon Motors, Japan's ITOCHU Corporation and Ascent Hydrogen Fund

Hyzon and Raven plan to build up to 250 hydrogen production facilities worldwide

But the first facility of Chevron and its partners will be in the San Francisco area
