On August 29, 2019, China Classification Society (CCS) held a summary and technical exchange meeting for high-speed craft fire-retardant materials/separation approval and fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) ship construction phase in Zhuh.
At the meeting, CCS technical experts gave detailed explanations on the scheme design, fire resistance test, type approval and actual ship application of fire-resisting partitions based on regulatory requirements and specific cas.
Fire retardant materials/partitions are the statutory requirements for structural fire protection in the 2000 International High Speed Craft Safety Code (referred to as the 2000 HSC Code) adopted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and domestic ship regulatio.
After more than two years of joint efforts by CCS and the industry, the fire-resisting partitions of high-speed craft of Changzhou FRP Shipyard .
This conference made a timely and comprehensive summary and exchange of the technical achievements obtained in the previous stage, which laid a solid foundation for the wide-scale application of fire-retardant materials/partitions for high-speed craft, which is conducive to promoting the development of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) ship indust.
