According to reports, the Chinese mechanical engineering company and Ukraine's largest private energy holding company officially built a solar power plant
in Ukraine.
A groundbreaking ceremony
has been held for the project.
At the ceremony, the chairman of DTEK said that the project is a milestone event
for the energy sector of Ukraine.
This will be the largest solar power station
in Ukraine and even in Europe.
During the ceremony, the facility installed the first solar panels, which were developed by the Chinese company Seraphim Solar System and shipped to Ukraine
by sea.
In total, 750,000 solar panels produced by Seraphim Solar Systems and another Chinese company, Trina Solar, will be built on
a 400-hectare solar farm.
In addition, the plant will include 80 inverter stations and 160 photovoltaic inverters, produced
by Crestec Technology Company in Shenzhen, China.
After preliminary estimates, the estimated cost of the solar power plant is 230 million euros ($265 million).
The project is funded
by DTEK's own funds and CMEC loans.
The project is scheduled to be completed
early next year.
