    Chlorate method

The main raw material of the chlorate method is sodium chlorate , auxiliary chlorate or chloric acid

① sulfur dioxide as a reducing agent chlorite method with sulfur dioxide as a reducing agent methods Marty Morrison (Mathieson) method, Daiso law, Holst (Holst) method, Persson Act (Persson) method and the method R1

    a.

    2NaClO 4 +SO 2 +H 2 SO 4 → 2CIO 2 +Na 2 SO 4 +H 2 SO 4

The schematic flow of Mathieson technology is shown in Figure 7-3

Figure 7-3 The process flow of producing chlorine dioxide by Mathieson method

This method has the advantages of low investment and convenient operation, but the efficiency is low

In addition, there have also been the Great Cao method similar to the Mattison method, the Holst method and the sodium metal method.

    b.

    2NaClO 4 +SO 2 →2CIO 2 +Na 2 SO 4

②The chlorate method with chloride ion as the reducing agent uses hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride as the reducing agent to produce chlorine dioxide.

③The chlorate method with methanol as the reducing agent, the generation method with methanol as the reducing agent, especially the R8 method, is the most widely used chlorine dioxide generation technology in industrial production in the world

Table 7-9 Chlorine dioxide generation technology with methanol as reducing agent

Sovlya method production equipment is simple and easy to operate

The methanol method improved by Abright/Wilson Company in the United States is called the R8 method, as shown in Figure 7-4
