Clariant’s selective hydrogenation catalysts helped Baolai’s 1 million tpy ethylene plant start up successfully

The C2 hydrogenation reactor was fast and stable during start-up.
It only took less than 4 hours from the time the cracked gas was fed into the C2 hydrogenation reactor to the export of acetylene, which showed the excellent performance of the catalyst and set a new benchmark for the first start-up efficiency in the industry.
