Faced with difficulties such as long process flow, complex process, difficulty in stable operation and younger workforce of ethylene plant, the production team of CNOOC Shell has improved the operation skills of employees by strengthening training efforts and regularizing drills under abnormal conditions on the one hand; Predictably handle possible problems, proactively check equipment reliability and potential safety hazards, deeply analyze the causes of failures, and improve the stability of device operation

Since 2016, employees of the ethylene plant have voluntarily submitted reports more than 5,500 times, optimized preventive maintenance equipment for 637 times, replaced 1,042 instrument transmitters, dealt with 236 instrument cable faults, and replaced various types of instrument cables over 27,000 meters
