On March 8, at the second plenary session of the Fourth Session of the 13th National People's Congress, Zhou Qiang, President of the Supreme People's Court, delivered a work report.

The report shows that the people’s courts concluded 466,000 intellectual property cases of first instance, an increase of 11.

The report pointed out that the Supreme People’s Court’s Intellectual Property Court’s centralized jurisdiction over patents and other technical intellectual property appeals will protect technological innovation, especially key core technologies, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of innovative companies; protect scientific researchers and their job inventions in accordance with the law to stimulate innovation ; Severe punishment for infringement of copyright and trademark rights, such as piracy, plagiarism, malicious squatting, and famous brands.
