PNG DataCo, a Papua New Guinea ICT service provider, said the 4,700-kilometre cable system, which will connect to Honiara and then arrive in Sydney, is scheduled to be deployed
in March next year.
The international submarine cable system, consisting of four fiber pairs, will provide at least 20 Tbps of capacity
to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, respectively.
In July 2018, Australia's Vocus Group invited Alcatel Submarine Network (ASN) to undertake the cable system
