Sinochem News Network News on November 29, Covestro announced that it has joined hands with Dongfeng Motor Group’s high-end electric brand Lantu Auto and PPG to have in-depth discussions on the commercialization of bio-based varnish coating solutions, aiming to accelerate the use of some bio-based solutions.

While meeting the performance requirements of automotive varnish coatings, further reducing carbon emissions in the coating production process is the main challenge of this cooperation project

Zhong Xiaobin, Senior Vice President of Covestro’s Coatings and Adhesives Division, Asia Pacific, said that in response to consumers’ higher requirements for in-car air quality, interior comfort, and trends in lightweight development, Covestro has also joined hands in the industry chain.
