On the afternoon of September 16th, at the opening ceremony of the 2021 Pinghu Watermelon Lantern Culture Festival and the Investment and Trade Fair, Shanghai Petrochemical and the Management Committee of Zhejiang Dushan Port Economic Development Zone jointly established the Pinghu-Shanghai Petrochemical New Materials Industrial Park project.

Pinghu-Shanghai Petrochemical New Materials Industrial Park is located in the adjacent land area between Zhejiang Province and Shanghai on the south side of Wengjin Highway.

Shanghai Petrochemical has an annual output of about 400,000 tons of ethylene oxide.

According to the project cooperation agreement, Shanghai Petrochemical will assist Dushan Port Economic Development Zone to review the feasibility and advancement of the project, and provide expert guidance; give full play to the company's professional expertise to provide guidance for the development of the park and project attraction; use the company's complete public facilities Engineering advantages, provide support for power supply, gas supply, and sewage co-processing for enterprises in the park

According to reports, the signing of the contract between Shanghai Petrochemical and Dushan Port Economic Development Zone is also a practical action to deepen the cooperation between enterprises and localities, improve the quality of the ecological environment and industrial development in adjacent areas, and implement the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta
