Datang Keqi coal-to-gas project methanation reactors have been replaced with SNG catalysts independently developed by Datang Chemical Technology Institute since July 30.
After half a month of continuous and stable operation, it has shown that its performance exceeds similar imported products, which indicates that Datang SNG catalyst became the first domestic methanation catalyst to completely replace imported catalysts in China
.

" Li Chunqi, general manager of Datang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, said that Datang Research Institute of Chemical Industry started SNG process and catalyst domestic production in 2007.
It is understood that all domestic coal-to-natural gas industrial plants using DAVY methanation technology have all been retrofitted with Datang SNG catalysts, and their overall performance is better than imported catalysts

In addition, Datang SNG catalysts are not only suitable for high-temperature methanation processes using syngas as raw materials, but also for high-temperature methanation processes and isothermal methanation processes using coke oven gas as raw materials
