On May 17, DuPont Mobility & Materials announced that it will invest $5 million in capital and operating resources in manufacturing facilities in Germany and Switzerland to increase its capacity for high-performance automotive adhesives

The investment will expand production capacity to meet growing demand for advanced mobility solutions for vehicle electrification, officials said

They added that new equipment has been delivered and installed, which will increase manufacturing capacity and speed up the delivery of product samples to customers

DuPont manufactures the following products for investment in factories:

• Betaforce TC and Betatech thermal interface materials to help support battery thermal management during hybrid/electric vehicle charging and operation;

• Betaforce multi-material bonding adhesives for body structure bonding and battery sealing and assembly;

• Betamate structural adhesive for body structure and battery bonding to improve crash durability and reduce vehicle structure weight; and

• BETASEAL glass adhesives enhance vehicle structures for OEM installation and aftermarket repair of windshields, rear windows, panoramic, and stationary glass
