Economical and efficient, DOMO Chemicals launches PEEK solution to replace PAI

DOMO Chemicals has expanded its THERMEC™ grade of reinforced polymers to introduce a cost-effective product based on polyetheretherketone (PEEK) that can be blended with solid polymer lubricants

According to reports, the new product is THERMEC™ K, which was developed by DOMO Chemicals' laboratory in Mumbai, India

“In general, PAI has higher mechanical properties than PEEK parts due to the different types of polymers in the material

DOMO's Mumbai team has demonstrated that THERMEC™ K is suitable for many applications, especially in high temperature environments up to 200°C, where low wear, low coefficient of friction and resistance to high load-carrying conditions are required

In addition to offering similar tribological properties to PAI, THERMEC™ K can be processed using standard injection molding processes
