Egypt prepares to build a new fiber optic cable project to connect the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea

Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information, the Suez Canal Authority and the Egyptian Signals Authority have signed an agreement to build a new fiber optic cable path
between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

According to the agreement, the three parties will establish a new path of fiber optic cable for Internet services between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea via the Al-Morshedeen Road, thereby strengthening Egypt's international position
as a major hub for international communication business between Asia, Africa and Europe.

According to the contract, the three parties will cooperate in the laying of optical cables through the infrastructure of the Suez Canal
.
At the same time, it will also connect to the Egyptian telecommunications company's existing fiber-optic network and provide services
via international cables.

This is part of the development of
the infrastructure of Egypt's telecommunications international communications network.
