    According to Dow Jones on July 9, Italian oil giant Eni said on Monday that the Mozambique Rovuma Venture consortium has submitted a development plan
    for the Rovuma liquefied natural gas (LNG) development project in Rovuma to the Mozambican government.

    Eni said the company discovered gas resources in the region about seven years ago, and the plan provides specific details for designing and building two gas lines that will eventually produce 7.
    6 million mt/year of LNG.

    Rovuma Mozambique, a joint venture between Eni, ExxonMobil and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), will conduct commercial natural gas production
    in the Area 4 licence area across northern Mozambique and Tanzania's Rovuma Basin.

    Eni said the company expects the joint venture partners to submit a final investment decision in 2019 and LNG production should begin
    by 2024.
