European Plastics Processing Association joins Styrenics Circular Solutions organization

EuPC, representing some 55,000 plastics processing associations in Europe, announced that it has become a member of Styrenics Circular Solutions (SCS), a value chain initiative to improve styrenic polymers by enhancing the sustainability of styrenic products and increasing resource efficiency in a circular economy cyclicity

," SCS Secretary General Jens Kathmann said in a statement

Individual processors have become an important part of the SCS team, which greatly increases our motivation to involve EuPC as we go forward

EuPC joined the initiative in recognition of the fact that styrene is an important part of the plastics industry's ability to meet the 2025 EU recycling target
