Sinochem New Network News ExxonMobil recently announced that it plans to build the first large-scale advanced chemical recycling facility in Baytang, Texas, and is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2022

At present, a small temporary facility of ExxonMobil has begun commercial production of certified recycled polymers, which will be listed at the end of 2021 to meet the growing market demand

The new facility is planned to be constructed after ExxonMobil completed the verification of an initial test of a proprietary chemical recycling process that converts plastic waste into raw materials

ExxonMobil plans to build related devices globally in the next five years to increase its annual chemical recycling capacity of plastic waste to approximately 500,000 tons
