According to a report on the natural gas processing website on May 27, Gazprom raised its forecast for natural gas production in 2021 to 506.

Gazprom has experienced a cold winter and the impact of COVID-19 has reduced.

It is predicted that production will be the highest since 2011, when Gazprom's production was 513.

Gazprom’s deputy general manager Vitaly Markelov said at an online briefing that the company’s output in the first quarter had exceeded expectations by approximately 6.

Another Gazprom official, Sergey Menshikov, said that the increase in production is supported by existing oil fields, and the company plans to introduce new oil and gas fields, such as Kharasavey, to support future production.

The company is shifting its focus to new oil fields located on the Yam Peninsula, which is rich in oil and gas resources in the Arctic.
