According to foreign media reports, affected by the shortage of chips, General Motors will cancel the popular seat heating function on many crossover models and full-size pickup models except for the top model

The change is expected to continue through the end of 2022, and GM will offer consumers a discount of $150 to $500 in compensation

Seat heating is a consumer favorite feature, with two-thirds of the 88,998 consumers surveyed saying they would like the feature in their next car, according to the survey
