On December 3, Ultium Cells, a joint venture between General Motors and LG New Energy LLC announced that it will invest an additional $275 million in the company's battery plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, increasing battery production at the plant by more than 40%, from 35GWh to 50GWh
when fully operational.
