According to Reuters, applications for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Greece had already exceeded wind farms
ahead of the start of the tender for wind and solar projects planned for May.

The tender, which has a deadline of March 22 and will be opened online on May 24, is the third solar and wind project tender in Greece to award 350 MW of green power capacity
    .

Sources said that Greece has received about 300 megawatts of wind power project applications, while solar energy projects have a higher
    number of applications.
Some of the applications were for wind power project capacity
that failed to win the bid in the previous round.

It is reported that the preliminary results of the winning bid will be announced on May 13, and the final list will be announced
    on May 20.

The maximum price for renewable energy generation in both categories is set at €53.
    86 per MWh
    .
The Greek Energy Regulatory Authority (RAE) announced in January that while the tender will be open to a single solar PV project with a capacity of up to 20 MW, eligible wind energy plans must have a capacity
    of 50 MW or less.
