Greenlandic telecommunications company TELE-POST Greenland recently announced that it has completed the repair of the Greenland Connect submarine cable system near Qaqortoq, and all connections affected by cable failures have been restored

On December 27, 2018, the Greenland Connect (GC) submarine cable system failed
in the Nuuk-Qaqortoq section.
Less than one month later, on 21 January 2019, the southern section of the Greenland Connect Nord (GCN) cable system Sisimiut was cut off, severely impacting internet connectivity on the island
.
In March 2019, the Greenland Connect Nord cable system was restored
under the emergency repair of Greenland Telecom.
However, due to extreme weather conditions, the Greenland Connect submarine cable system has not been able to resume operations
until recently.
