Hengyi Petrochemical plans to build 1.2 million tons of caprolactam-polyamide integration project

Sinochem News News Hengyi Petrochemical announced on January 21 that its subsidiary Guangxi Hengyi New Materials Co.

According to the announcement, the first phase of construction includes: 2*300,000 tons/year cyclohexanone, 2*400,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide, 200,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia, 100,000 standard square meters/hour hydrogen production, 2*300,000 tons/year /year caprolactam and 600,000 tons / year polyamide polymerization and other production equipment, and supporting intelligent warehouses, public works, heating facilities and service projects; the second phase will build on the basis of the first phase, and then build 2 * 300,000 tons /year cyclohexanone, 400,000 tons/year of hydrogen peroxide, 2*300,000 tons/year of caprolactam, and 600,000 tons/year of polyamide polymerization and other production units, as well as supporting intelligent warehouses, public works, and heating facilities

At present, the preparation process of caprolactam mainly includes two methods: liquid-phase Beckmann rearrangement and gas-phase Beckmann rearrangement

Polyamide is PA6, also known as nylon and nylon.
