As early as 2018 , Huafeng Group has adopted self-developed benzene process to produce adiponitrile technology at its Fuling base in Chongqing, and designed and constructed a 100,000- ton adiponitrile project, of which the 50,000- ton / year unit reached the goal in October 2019.
You Xiaoping, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huafeng Group, said that China will become the world's largest nylon 66 consumer market in the next few years .
Chen Enzhi, vice president of Huafeng Group, said that the adiponitrile project is a strategic key project for Huafeng Group’s development during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
Hu Qianlin, deputy secretary-general of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and director of the Science and Technology and Equipment Department, believes that the 10,000-ton adiponitrile production device is included in the first category of encouraged projects by the state.
According to reports, the project has high technical content and green process, which can not only change the status quo of domestic adiponitrile relying on imports and control a few multinational companies, but also help Huafeng improve the high-end level of the industry and strengthen China’s nylon 66 Integrated industrial chain.
It is reported that the domestic consumption of adiponitrile has been rising year by year thanks to the increase in demand for nylon 66 .
It is understood that the apparent domestic consumption of adiponitrile in 2010 was 62,000 tons, which increased to 142,000 tons in 2016 , with an average annual growth rate of 14% .
According to the development trend and demand of downstream nylon 66 , nylon 610 , HDI and other products, it is estimated that China's adiponitrile consumption will reach about 270,000 tons in 2020 .
Facing the upcoming market competition, industry experts believe that my country's domestically produced adiponitrile device is still in its infancy, and quality and cost are the two core keys to participating in international market competition.
