Huntsman announces increased gas surcharge for MDI sold in Europe, Africa, Middle East and India

On March 9, Huntsman announced that a natural gas surcharge will be added to MDI sold by the company in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India (EAME region)
.

Recently, European gas prices have become very volatile and have risen to new highs
.

As the Ukraine-Russia crisis further escalates, natural gas prices are at an all-time high, affecting the cost of energy, intermediate products, and a variety of feedstocks, including the production of MDI, additives and catalysts for polyol formulations
.

Given this exceptional situation, Huntsman has had to impose a €300/t gas surcharge on sales of MDI, polymer formulations, additives and catalysts in the EMEA region
.

This additional fee is effective immediately and is in addition to previously published prices
.
In addition, we will limit product sales to our previous expected production volumes for March
.

We kindly ask you to confirm this additional fee as a condition of placing any order in March
.

In addition, we must inform you that we are evaluating the impact of our products in April
.
Therefore, we cannot confirm any orders for April at this stage
.

.
