India's Finance Minister recently announced the budget allocations and related target results
for the 2018-19 financial year (April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019).
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said Rs 5,020 crore
was allocated for various renewable energy technologies and expansion projects within India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
MNRE is expected to add 15.
62 GW of renewable energy capacity in FY2018-19, 7.

above the capacity increase target for FY2017-18.
Among them, the target of new wind power installed capacity remains at 4 GW, and the target of new solar installed capacity is 11 GW, including 1 GW of rooftop solar and 10 GW of large-scale ground-based solar projects

Starting this year, wind power will be regulated
using the same public tender process as solar energy.
In addition, the capacity increase target for small hydropower technologies has been increased from 200 MW to 250 MW
.
The bioenergy generation target has also increased slightly from 340 MW to 370 MW
.
Surprisingly, there is no mention of the goals of the
waste-to-energy project.
