On April 23, 2016, Godawari Power Station, India's first 50MW solar thermal power station developed by Godawari Green Energy Co.
    , Ltd.
, exceeded 589MWh in daily power generation with a CUF value (average power generation capacity utilization rate) of 49.
05%, successfully surpassing the previous record
    of 572MWh per day.

Located in the village of Nokh in Pokaran Tehsil, Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, the Godawari power station covers an area of 150 hectares and is the first commercial CSP project
    in India.
The project adopts trough power generation technology with a concentrated area of 392,400 square meters, and was officially connected to the grid on
    June 5, 2013.

It is understood that the Godawari power station is designed to generate 118 million kWh per year, and the contracted electricity price of the project is 12.
    2 Indian rupees/kWh for a 25-year period, about 1.
    31 yuan
    .
The heat transfer medium used in this project is DowthermA type heat transfer oil, which is not equipped with a heat storage system and can only be operated
    during the day.

Following the Godawari power station, the 100MW Fresnel CSP project built by Reliance Power Corporation in Rajasthan in 2014 and a 50MW trough solar thermal power station developed by India's Megha Engineering Infrastructure Corporation (MEIL) were put into operation
    .
Up to now, the total installed capacity of solar thermal power projects in India has reached 205MW
