1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the methods and relevant precautions for taking representative samples of liquid ethylene and gaseous ethylene stored at low temperatures
The remaining sample is given illustrating the exhaust system in Appendix A
2 Reference standards
GB 7715 Industrial Ethylene
3 Sampling method of liquid ethylene
3.
Ethylene should be stored and transported in liquid form at low temperatures
The critical temperature of ethylene is 9.
Operators should use protective gloves to prevent low temperature burns, and they should also wear sun goggles
Ethylene is extremely flammable, and the operation site must be well ventilated to avoid the formation of an explosive atmosphere, especially during the washing operation
The sampler should be grounded
3.
The liquid sampling device is shown in Figure 1
Figure 1 Liquid ethylene sampling device
3.
Use double-valve sampling cylinders with adjustment tubes (see Figure 1)
3.
The inner diameter of 4mm, a length of not more than 2m stainless steel pipe and a control valve P ', Q composed of the discharge valve
3.
Flush the sampler (3.
Close the sampler inlet valve A and outlet valve R, open valves P and P', and slowly open valve Q to flush the sampling pipeline
.
When a liquid sample appears at the end of the vent tube, the valve Q is closed
.
Open valve A and valve B of the sampler.
After a small amount of sample enters the sampler, close valve B and valve A, and then open valve B to discharge all the samples
.
Repeat this sampler flushing operation not less than three times
.
After the sampler is flushed, close valve and, then open valve A and valve R in turn to start sampling
.
When the liquid sample present in the end of the vent pipe valve B, immediately close the valve A, valve B closes
.
After the sampling operation is completed, close valve P'and valve P, open valve Q, and remove the sampler after releasing the pressure
.
