Polyolefin Engineering Center takes the lead in chemical industry

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission announced the results of the 2014 National Engineering Research Center, relying on the comprehensive evaluation of the polyolefin National Engineering Research Center built by the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, ranking sixth among 91 participating centers and ranking first
in the field of chemical industry.
The comprehensive evaluation of national engineering research centers is conducted every two years, with the purpose of strengthening and standardizing the construction of national engineering research centers, and establishing an operation and management mechanism
of survival of the fittest and dynamic adjustment.
This comprehensive evaluation focuses on the scientific research talent structure, scientific research projects, transformation and technology promotion of scientific and technological achievements, scientific research equipment, economic benefits and industry contributions of each engineering center in 2011~2012
.
In recent years, the Polyolefin National Engineering Research Center has made major breakthroughs in catalyst research and development, olefin polymerization process technology development and new synthetic resin product development, creating huge economic benefits
for enterprises.
The center has successfully developed polyethylene BCE series catalysts, polypropylene ND catalysts, polypropylene DQC series catalysts, propylene BCZ catalysts, metallocene polyethylene catalysts, etc.
, which meet the development needs of the domestic polyolefin industry and are exported overseas
on a large scale.
In addition, the world-leading third-generation polypropylene ring pipe polymerization process technology developed by the center has been successfully implemented in Wuhan Petrochemical, and high-performance products such as high-melt strength polypropylene, G resin, and antibacterial resin with international advanced level have also been introduced to the market
