Centrio sells its synthetic rubber business for $491 million

On May 21, Trinseo announced a definitive agreement with Synthos to sell its synthetic rubber business
for $491 million.
Synthesis' synthetic rubber business in Schkopau, Germany, will be transferred to Synthos SA and its subsidiaries and is expected to result in net cash income of approximately $400 million, net of transaction-related costs, which is expected to close
in 2022.

The 440 employees, mostly located in Schkobao, will join Synthos
.
The transaction also includes the transfer of the relevant manufacturing and R&D facilities in Schkoburg, Germany, as well as the related intellectual property
rights.
