    Maire Tecnimont and Gazprombank recently signed a memorandum of understanding to build a world-class methanol plant
    in Ustruga, a Russian port on the Baltic coast.
    Under the agreement, the partners will develop, construct, finance, maintain and operate a methanol plant
    with a designed capacity of 5,000 mt/d.
    Preliminary estimates of total investment costs exceed EUR 1 billion (US$1.
    13 billion).

    Partners discuss
    joint development initiatives.
    The program will be coordinated by Maire Tecnimont subsidiary Tecnimont to coordinate the front-end engineering design (FEED).
