Fugitive emissions from refining are included in the "legal eye"

The research project on fufu fushun petrochemical industry research institute of China Petroleum Chemical Corporation, Jinling Petrochemical and Shijiazhuang refining and chemical industry recently passed the technical appraisal
organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Sinopec in Beijing.
At present, the monitoring system has been incorporated into the national standards "Petroleum Refining Pollutant Emission Standards (Draft for Comments)" and "Petrochemical Industry Pollutant Emission Standards (Draft for Comments)", and has been applied in the environmental impact assessment of the upgrading and transformation of many refining and chemical enterprises, filling the gap
in the monitoring of domestic fugitive emission sources.

Through the systematic screening of domestic and foreign fugitive emission monitoring methods, based on the ground concentration reversal method and the leak detection method of the US Environmental Protection Agency, the project team established a set of fugitive emission monitoring system suitable for refining units, which is used for the monitoring and emission
reduction of characteristic pollutants such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, benzene series and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
。 The application results of the monitoring system in refining and chemical enterprises show that the source strength data of fugitive emissions calculated based on the on-site monitoring results is basically consistent with the source intensity data calculated by the process parameters of the waste gas collection and treatment device and the emission level of foreign refining units, and the method is accurate and reliable
    .

The sewage treatment plant of petroleum refining enterprises is one of the main sources of fugitive emissions of hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, hydrocarbons and other pollutants, and the monitoring system can promote the closed collection and treatment of pollutants such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, hydrocarbons, etc.
, repair some leaking components of the refinery unit, and reduce VOCs emissions by 20%~30%.
