The new material is prepared using biocompatible chitosan and sodium polyacrylate as the skeleton using foaming technology

Chitosan and sodium polyacrylate in the structure have excellent water absorption properties and can absorb 200 times its own weight of water

Due to the strong force between water molecules and molecular networks, it is difficult for water molecules to run out of the network, which makes the new material have good water retention ability

At the same time, the siphon effect produced by the porous channel structure of the material can increase the water absorption rate, so that the blood is rapidly concentrated after contact with the material, and the positive charge in the molecular structure has the effect of aggregating platelets, which can achieve the purpose of
rapid hemostasis.
In addition, this new hemostatic material will also produce adhesion when wet, which can be firmly "sticked" to the wound, sealing the bleeding point, and after hemostasis, it can easily get out of the wound to avoid secondary bleeding
