Eastman plans to expand copolyester production capacity
On August 22, Eastman Chemical Co.
announced that it will expand
its copolyester plant in Kuantan, Malaysia.
The Kuantan plant in Malaysia manufactures a wide range of copolyester products, including Eastman SpectarTM and EastarTM.

The expansion is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018 and is expected to increase PETG copolyester production capacity by nearly 20%.

The investment will meet the growing global demand for copolyester products while providing more flexibility
to the company's polymer product line.

Burt Capel, vice president and general manager of Eastman's specialty plastics business, said, "This expansion program will help Eastman meet the growing global demand for
