Sarawak Energy is working with Linde's subsidiary in Malaysia to build a pilot hydrogen plant and refueling station to assess the feasibility of hydrogen fuel cells to provide energy support to the national transport sector in the
future.
The pilot is set up in Kuching (Malaysian Port) and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2019 and will be used for the transportation industry
first.
The two companies also signed a memorandum of understanding to explore potential hydrogen markets and conduct joint technology development to evaluate technologies
across the value chain.
Rob Hughes, Head of Linde's Regional Business Unit, said: "Linde is proud to partner with Sarawak Energy on this project and to be a pioneer
in the entire hydrogen value chain.
Linde and its partners will build around 150 hydrogen refueling stations
around the world.
Now, Linde has successfully expanded its focus to Asia
