The new liquid adhesion resin reduces VOCs in coatings
Evonik has recently launched the adhesion resins TEGO?AddBond LP 1600 and LP 1611
    for coating formulations.
The product has excellent flow properties and is suitable for food contact
    .
These two adhesion resins reduce viscosity without increasing the volatile organic compound content (VOCs) of the coating, making them suitable for high solids formulations
    .
In addition, its active substance content is up to 100%, which reduces storage and transportation costs
    .

Liquid TEGO?Bond LP auxiliary resin is a polyester resin that is designed for existing coating systems, especially for high-solids systems (e.
    g.
two-component polyurethane systems, two-component epoxy systems, baking paints or alkyd formulations).

The resin is particularly suitable for industrial products operating in open environments, including large vehicles, ships and general industrial machinery
    .
Among these applications, long-term durability, weather resistance and chemical resistance are the most concerned
    .
In addition, the resin is FDA 175.
    300 certified for food contact
    .
These two products meet the requirements of the Swiss Consumer Goods Regulation (Swiss A) for printing inks in the packaging sector, are not dangerous goods, and can be handled
    safely.

The difference between the two products is their intrinsic viscosity, LP 1611 has a slightly higher viscosity than LP 1600, but has a lower impact on the hardness of the final system and therefore less
on the mechanical properties of the surface.
Compared to LP 1611, LP 1600 has a lower viscosity and therefore reduces the VOCs content
    even more.
