    WACKER is showcasing high-performance silicones for the power transmission and distribution industry

    At the International Lighting Exhibition 2014 in Guangzhou, WACKER presented a range of high-performance silicones for the lighting industry, including LUMISIL 886 A/B, CENUSIL RT 760 CN A/B, LUMISIL 871 A/B and ELASTOSIL N 9111
    .

    LUMISIL® 886 A/B silicone rubber has a high degree of transparency, allowing visible light to pass through
    almost unhindered.
    In addition, it plays an important role
    in the production of optical components due to its medium viscosity and fast heat curing properties.
    This product can be used not only for the production of LED lenses, but also for encapsulating optical components such as xenon lamps, lenses for duct lighting, Fresnel lenses, etc
    .
    LUMISIL 886 A/B has a hardness of 75 Shore A, and injection molding is not a problem
    at all.
    In addition, it can be used to cost-effectively mass produce compactly molded parts
    .

    CENUSIL RT 760 CN A/B is a castable, addition-curable two-component silicone rubber
    that can be vulcanized at room temperature.
    Due to its excellent flowability, thermal conductivity and medium hardness, it is ideally suited for protecting delicate electronic components such as LEDs during the potting process

    LUMISIL?871 A/B is a silicone elastomer
    with low viscosity, low modulus of elasticity and excellent transparency.
    This elastomer is resistant to aging, weathering, electrical insulation, hydrophobicity and low temperature flexibility
    .
    The LUMISIL® 871 A/B is particularly suitable for negative refractive index (NRI) packaging
    of optical components.

    ELASTOSIL?N 9111 is a dealcoholized RTV-1 system
    formulated using a tin-free catalyst.
    Therefore, it is particularly suitable for applications
    where organotin compounds are inhibited or where organotin compounds cannot be used.
