Unilever and Viridor sign a contract for recycled plastics Unilever and Viridor have agreed a five-year contract under which
Unilever will receive a range of recycled plastics
from Viridor's Avonmouth resource recycling centre near Bristol, UK.
Viridor aims to put 60,000 tonnes of recycled plastic from flaky and granule shaped bottles, jars, drums and trays made of PET, HDPE and PP back into the economy every year as a sustainable solution
for plastics.
Keith Trower, Managing Director of Viridor Resource Management, said: "By putting more recycled plastic back into the economy and driving the process with non-recyclable waste, we are creating a sustainable solution and ensuring consumer brands such as Unilever have access to high-quality post-consumer recycled materials
.
