Momentive invests in the promotion of Italy

Polyurethane additive capacity

Momentive recently announced that it will invest $13 million (about 11 million euros) to expand its existing plant in Termoli, Italy, to create a state-of-the-art manufacturing center
for its Niax polyurethane additives.
The plant, which currently produces high-performance additives and other silicon-based products for rigid foam applications, will undergo a comprehensive technological upgrade to expand services
to the EU sheet foam industry.
The plant will serve customers in Europe, Russia and Turkey and is expected to be fully operational
by mid-2022.
The investment is part of a broader plan by Momentive to optimize its global production footprint, when capacity will be transferred to the Italian plant at its silicones plant
in Antwerp, Belgium, which ceased operations earlier this year.
