Issue 27/2015 - Customized liquid silicone rubber for the baby and children's products market in China

On July 22~24, WACKER will be presenting silicone products
customized for the Chinese market at CBME 2015.
This two-component liquid silicone rubber, named ELASTOSIL® LR 3038/20 CN, has low hardness and high tear resistance and meets German and American standards, making it ideal for injection molding
of baby products such as pacifiers.
Also on display is the ELASTOSIL LR 3071 series
, a self-adhesive liquid silicone rubber suitable for bonding silicone to different plastic and metal substrates.

The new product is tailored to the specific needs of Chinese baby and child product manufacturers, and its vulcanized products exhibit high transparency, low Shore hardness and extremely high tear strength
.
Its short curing time makes it ideal for large-scale, economical injection molding production
.
The raw materials used have a low VOC content and can meet the increasingly high safety requirements
of the market for baby and children's products.

In addition, as a self-adhesive two-component liquid silicone rubber series, the product can provide 4 products ranging from 30 ~ 60 Shore hardness, no primer, can be bonded with different plastics and metal substrates (such as polyamide, polybutylene terephthalate, etc.
), and at the same time it is easy to remove
from the mold.
ELASTOSIL LR 3701 series is paste-like, easy to color, and its vulcanized products have good electromechanical properties

It is particularly suitable for the mass production of injection molded parts, and the mold surface does not require special treatment
