    Benzene antioxidant obtained invention patent

    On July 15, the preparation and use of a multi-functional antioxidant for benzene making equipment developed by Beijing Sbort Institute of Science and Technology was authorized
    by the national invention patent.

    The benzene making plant uses pyrolysis gasoline, a by-product of ethylene plant, as raw material to produce pure benzene as the main product, and a variety of petrochemical products as by-products, such as C5, C9, toluene, C8, etc
    .
    In the above production process, because pyrolysis gasoline contains a large amount of active C5 diolefin, it is very easy to occur free radical polymerization, produce scale gum, block pipelines, pumps and separation towers and other equipment, especially in the presence of oxygen, its reaction is easier
    .
    The increase in gum content in pyrolysis gasoline is not only easy to cause coking on the surface of the catalyst, reduce the hydrogenation activity of the catalyst, but also seriously affect the production capacity of gasoline and the quality of products, which has become a major bottleneck
    affecting the long-term stable operation of benzene making plants in petrochemical enterprises.

    Beijing Sborle Research and Technology Research Institute independently synthesized the core components of polyhydroxytert-butylphenol key antioxidants, which can effectively inhibit the polymerization and scaling of C5 diolefins, significantly reduce the gum content of pyrolysis gasoline, and completely break the drawbacks
    that traditional nitro and nitroso gasoline antioxidants can only reduce the polymerization rate and cannot extend the polymerization induction period.
    The use of Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Branch and Sinopec Zhongyuan Petrochemical Co.
    , Ltd.
    shows that the product has a very high cost performance and can significantly improve the economic efficiency and operation cycle
    of the benzene making plant.
