Issue 31/2014 - Automatic oil pipeline protection system put into use

When the inlet and outlet flow of the oil pipeline is poor and the outbound pressure exceeds the set value, no personnel respond to the alarm within 2 minutes after the alarm is issued in the duty room and the dispatch room, and the system will automatically turn off the pump
outside the oil pipeline.
This is the automatic protection system
of oil pipelines developed by Shengli Oilfield Oil and Gas Gathering and Transportation General Plant.

The system detects accidents early, responds quickly and can operate
automatically.
Taking the Guluodong oil pipeline as an example, when the real-time inlet and outlet flow values monitored by the system within 30 seconds continue to differ by 20 cubic meters and the outbound pressure exceeds 3.
5 MPa, the system automatically confirms the pipeline leakage and alarms
.
After the alarm is issued, the operation station of the three stations of the isolated island branch dispatch and the isolated island crude oil depot, Jixian oil station and Dongying crude oil depot will display the type of accident that has occurred on which section of the pipeline and send out sound and light alarm signals on the screen and speaker, and the on-duty personnel can check the corresponding data
according to the signal.
