Recently, Entegris and Versum Materials, a supplier of semiconductor materials, announced that the two companies have agreed to a reciprocal merger
.

The merger, which is expected to close in the second half of this year, will become a supplier of specialty materials to
the semiconductor and high-tech industries.
Upon completion of the merger, Entegris shareholders will own 52.
5% of the shares and Versum Materials shareholders will own 47.
5% of the shares

The combined company, which will retain the name Entegris and is headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts, is valued at approximately $9 billion, and the deal is expected to save more than $75 million annually
