WACKER recently unveiled a new WACKER SG 3377 crude oil cryogenic demulsifier
developed for low-temperature applications at the World Oil & Gas Association Technology Conference & Exhibition 2014 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The product demulsifies petroleum emulsions
at job sites where temperatures are not high enough, such as older oil and gas wells or Arctic oil and gas fields.
WACKER?SG 3377 is a silicone oil demulsifier that also exhibits excellent performance at crude oil temperatures of 40°C or even lower
.
Due to its high surface activity, the additive demulsifies quickly and effectively removes water, significantly improving the quality of
crude oil and wastewater.
WACKER?SG 3377 reduces residual moisture content in crude oil to one percent while minimizing oil residues in wastewater to parts per
million.
Traditional demulsifiers can only exert their best performance when the ambient temperature reaches more than 40°C; At lower temperatures, performance and efficiency are significantly reduced
.
WACKER SG 3377 is suitable for use in all onshore and offshore oil fields
worldwide.
When mixed with conventional demulsifiers, this cost-effective and efficient solution can demulsify petroleum emulsions
at job sites where temperatures are not high enough, such as older oil and gas wells or offshore oil and gas fields.
