Alfalaval has recently developed an enhanced Pharma-line aseptic tubular heat exchanger
.
Designed for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, this heat exchanger is primarily used in pharmaceutical water, water for injection, pure water, CIP cleaning systems, and heating and cooling applications, offering installation flexibility, cleanability, and further reduction of design errors and the risk of cross-contamination
.
The enhanced Pharma-line can be flexibly placed and installed in any position, not only on the ground, but also fixed on the wall or suspended from the roof
.
Best of all, the need to determine the exact location early in the pharmaceutical process design not only gives plant designers more time to consider all design requirements, but also gives them more flexibility
before finalizing the heat exchanger location.
The Pharma-line still uses a seamless tube design with controllable surface roughness, while the double tube sheet design prevents heat exchanger medium from leaking into the product without dead space
.
But unlike before, in addition to the complete emptying of the pipe layer product, the Pharma-line can now ventilate and drain
the heat exchanger on its shell side.
Another advantage of Pharma-line is that customized CAD drawings
can be downloaded for specific installations via Alfa Laval's CAD port before submitting the order.
By providing digital drawings early in the design process, pharmaceutical plant designers can fully evaluate various design options and make timely design modifications
.
This will help save development time, reduce development costs, and speed time to market
.
